Released in 1996 on the collaborative album Mystic with Zaïtoum, the track “Mistic” (often spelled “Mystic”) is a classic blend of upbeat Soukous, Afropop, and tropical rumba rhythms. The song is one of the signature works of Shimita El Diego (born Lukombo Nzambe), a legendary Congolese vocalist who rose to prominence in the 1980s with Grand Zaïko Wawa.

After moving to Paris, he became a core member of the elite supergroup Soukous Stars in 1989, helping to popularize the vibrant, guitar-driven sound of Congolese Soukous on a global scale.
