X Plastaz is a pioneering Tanzanian hip hop group founded in 1996 in Arusha. The group became famous for blending hip hop with traditional Maasai music, featuring Maasai singer Merege (Yamat Ole Meipuko), who performs in the Maa language and traditional Maasai attire, while the other members rap in Swahili and Haya. Their music is known for its slower pace and deep Maasai chanting.

Popular songs include Bamiza, Msimu kwa msimu, Aha!, and Dunia dudumizi. The group was originally formed by brothers Ruff and Gsann, together with Ziggy, and gained national attention after being discovered by producer Bonnie Luv.
