Wenge Musica Maison Mère (WMMM) is a Congolese music group formed in December 1997 by Werrason, Didier Masela, and Adolphe Dominguez following the breakup of the original Wenge Musica band, which had been established in 1981.
From the start, WMMM found itself in a strong rivalry with JB Mpiana’s Wenge BCBG, another group that emerged from the same split. Led by Werrason, the band became a powerhouse in the Congolese music scene, helping shape the careers of several major artists, including Ferré Gola, Héritier Watanabe, Fabregas le Métis Noir, and Bill Clinton Kalonji.
In 2004, the group experienced its first major internal shake-up when Ferré Gola, Bill Clinton, and JDT Mulopwe left to create their own band, Les Marquis de Maison Mère.
