SLU Academic Calendar: Important Dates for 2022–2023

 

 

The SLU academic calendar for 2022–2023 lists the dates of holidays, academic events, registration deadlines, exam dates, spring break, and other significant dates.

Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters make up Saint Louis University’s semester structure. The length of a semester is roughly 16 weeks.

SLU academic calendar fall 2022

1. SLU move-in day for fall 2022 is from August 18, 2022 to August 19, 2022 for freshmen. Returning student move-in is on August 21, 2022. Your building and floor will determine your assigned move-in day and time. Times will be updated by July 10 when new student assignments are released. Check out mySLU login portal.
2. SLU Fall 2022 classes start on Wednesday, August 24 2022.
3. Mass of the Holy Spirit (classes cancelled 11:00-12:00) is on September 1, 2022.
4. The deadline for application to graduate is September 4, 2022.
5. Labor Day holiday (no classes) is September 5, 2022, according to the SLU holiday calendar 2022.
6. The official fall census date is September 6, 2022.
7. There are no classes on September 28, 2022.
8. Mid-Term Conferral is on October 15, 2022.
9. SLU Fall mid-term exams is from Monday, October 17, 2022 to Friday, October 21, 2022.
10. Winter 2023 registration is on Monday, October 17, 2022.
11. Fall mid-term grades are due by 5 p.m. on October 25, 2022.
12. SLU Fall Break 2022 is from October 27, 2022 to October 28, 2022.
13. SLU Thanksgiving break 2022 is from November 23, 2022 to November 25, 2022.
14. Fall 2022 classes end on December 9, 2022.
15. Fall final exams is from December 12, 2022 to December 16, 2022.
16. SLU Fall 2022 graduation or Commencement and Fall degree conferral date is December 17, 2022.
17. The Saint Louis University, SLU Fall final grades are due by 5 p.m. on December 20, 2022.
18. SLU Winter sessions begin on December 19, 2022 to January 13, 2023.
19. Winter degree conferral date is January 13, 2022.

SLU academic calendar spring 2023

1. Spring 2023 Open registration is on November 17, 2022 at 7 a.m. for SLU St. Louis and 2 p.m. for SLU Madrid.
2. Graduate students’ registration for Spring 2023 is at 7 a.m. (central) on Monday, November 7, 2022.
3. Seniors with priority registration are on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 7 a.m.
4. Spring 2023 registration for seniors is on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 7 a.m.
5. Juniors with priority registration are on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 7 a.m. (central).
6. SLU Juniors registration is on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 7 a.m.
7. SLU Madrid campus Priority registration for the Spring 2023 semester (juniors, seniors and honors) is on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at midnight for St. Louis and 7 a.m. for the Madrid campus.
8. Sophomore with priority registration is on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 7 a.m.
9. Sophomore registration for Spring 2023 is on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 7 a.m.
10. Freshmen with priority registration: 7 a.m. (central) – Thursday, December 1, 2022.
11. SLU Spring 2023 registration for Freshmen is on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 7 a.m.
12. SLU Spring 2023 classes start on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
13. The deadline for application to graduate is January 29, 2023.
14. The official spring census date is January 30, 2023, according to SLU academic calendar 2022-2023.
15. According to the SLU Spring 2023 schedule, there are no classes on February 10, 2023.
16. Spring mid-term exams are from Monday, March 6, 2023 to Friday, March 10, 2023.
17. SLU Spring break 2023 is from March 13, 2023 to March 17, 2023.
18. Spring mid-term grades are due by 5 p.m. on March 14, 2023.
19. Spring mid-term degree conferral date is March 18, 2023.
20. SLU Easter break (no classes) is on April 6, April 7, and April 10, 2023.

25. SLU Graduation 2023 events are from May 18 2023 to May 19, 2023.
26. Spring commencement ceremony and degree conferral date is May 20, 2023.

2. Memorial Day holiday (No classes) is Monday, May 29, 2023.

5. Summer degree conferral No. 1 is on June 17, 2023.

7. The second eight-week session classes start on Tuesday, June 20 2023.
